New Releases! - 5G Multicast Broadcast Services (MBS)

We are happy to announce the first release of 5G Multicast Broadcast Services (MBS) as part of the 5G-MAG Reference Tools.

This release provides reference implementations of an MB-UPF, MB-SMF as extensions of the UPF and SMF of the Open5GS project. In addition it provides an initial implementation of AMF, gNB and UE with MBS. A simple AF/AS allows testing the setup.

This initial functionalities of MBS support in the 5G Core, RAN and UE are complemented by Docker images and Docker Compose deployments to test the whole setup.
